New 2010 Citroen C3 Officially Unveiled (details and photos)

The first photos of the all-new Citroen C3 were revealed nowadays ahead of the world premier at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Citroen C3 will go on selling in most parts of Europe in early November with the UK next in the start of next year and and will become the main rival to the Ford Fiesta and Renault Clio.

The new C3 will be untaken exclusively as a five door produce with Citroen planning to pioneer a more premium three-door type of the car called DS3 in 2010 that will compete against the MINI. The new C3’s styling is an evolution of the prior sketch, albeit more dynamic with a tauter profile and many new minutiae with the front fascia that is inspired by the DS3 concept car.

New Aston Martin Cygnet Concept Car Officially Revealed (photos)

The first ever Aston Martin‘s mini car has officially revealed. Basing on the Toyota iQ the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is a mix of luxury, compactness and environmental friendliness. The car expected to go on sale before the end of next year with an estimated base price of about £20,000 or $30,000.

Ford Mustang Silver 45th Anniversary Edition introduced by Lee Iacocca (photos)

Lee Iacocca, the former president of the Ford division and the father of the Ford Mustang, has introduced a coach-built car called ‘2009 1/2 Iacocca Silver Edition Mustang‘. The car will be produced in quantities of only 45 units. Lee Iacocca was the leader of the Ford sector when the group introduced the original Mustang in 1964. The unique edition Mustang is the product of the collaborative work of Iacocca, designer Michael Leone, and California-based coachbuilder, Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters.

The partial production prototype that is based on the 2009 Mustang platform will be available with two capacity bury options, an usually-aspirated 4.6-liter Ford V8 rated at 320 horsepower and a voluntary supercharged story delivering 400 horsepower. Top Gear Officially Reveals The Stig [video]

The first episode of 13th season of the very popular British motoring show BBC Topgear started very suddenly for all. The Stig has been finally unmasked himself to live studio audience! It was Michael Schumacher. Or has he? The elusive Stig is seen being accompanied into the studio where they zoom the chain. Later he is meeting on the guest formulate and begins to take off his colorless helmet. To the interview’s shock Schumacher appears from underneath the helmet, fakes a glint and smiles, generous the admiring viewers a thumbs-up.

Tuning: Ferrari California Spider by Edo Competition (details and photos)

German tuner Edo Competition that specialized on supercars has revealed their performance and styling accessories for Ferrari California Spider. Modifications to the 4.3-liter V8 engine compose a recalibrated ECU and a possible newly-urbanized high performance exhaust order featuring adjustable butterfly valves and custom intended high emanate catalytic converters with a 200 unit per clear crawl metal self.

2009 International Engine of the Year Results: VW 1.4-liter TSI Twincharger wins Award

Volkswagen‘s innovative 1.4-liter TSI Twincharger engine wins the 2009 International Engine of the Year, beating out BMW’s potent 3.0-liter instruct-injected twin-turbo six-cylinder powerplant by just four points. The Twincharged 1.4 liter TSI also won both the 1.0 to 1.4 liter engine category and the honor of the Green Engine of the Year, beating out the Japanese hybrid power rivals from Toyota and Honda’s 1.3-liter IMA fusion powertrain.

The Engie of the Year gift is handed out based on the voting fallout of 65 motor scribes polled from all around the sphere. Some 32 countries are represented in the jury, plus the U.S., Japan, China, Germany, the U.K., and Korea.

New BMW M Supercar Concept: A Main Competitor for an Audi R8 (photos)?!

Idries Noah, who formerly employed by GM Holden’s design band ‘3D automotive artists‘ in Australia has rendered his own imagining of what a BMW M concept proposal for an Audi R8 rival would look like. Of course, this is an entirely speculative rendering that has nothing to do with BMW itself.

Recall that BMW produced its first and last mid-engined supercar, the M1, and even though the Bavarian firm raised expectations with the introduction of the M1 Homage Concept at last year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the company has no official plans to resurrect the famous nameplate.
