General Motors Cancels Sale with Magna and Russian Sberbank and Decides to Keep Opel

General Motors nowadays announced that the group’s Board of Directors decided to cancel the sale of Opel to a Russian-backed group led by Magna and keep it under control.

The U.S. automaker said that it took this certitude because of an “improving custom environment for GM over the older few months” as well as the importance of the Opel/Vauxhall brands to the firm’s universal approach. GM’s president and CEO Fritz Henderson said in a primed statement that the company will portray its restructuring idea for its European section to Germany and other governments and hopes for its favorable consideration. The U.S. automaker expects that the restructuring of Opel will price around €3 billion, or about $4.4 billion at today’s switch rates.

Subaru WRX STI TRAX: Snow Truck with 400HP prepared for SEMA Show (photos and video)

The 400HP Subaru Impreza WRX STI TRAX with snowfall tracks will be unveiled at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show. Based on a revive-prepped 2009 WRX STI, the TRAX was built by Vermont SportsCar for SRT USA driver Ken Block. Despite the Mattracks rubber track system, the car is near duplicate to Block’s #43 SRT USA competition STI.

Vermont SportsCar started with a carry Impreza WRX STI and then gutted the interior, “faded the shell and then quite joint-welded it for added depth,” and installed a multipoint steel spin crate. After this was determined, the troupe added RECARO SPA ProRacer competition sport seats, carbon strand door panels, and an onboard fire suppression order. Other goodies contain a Yakima FatCat 4 Snowboard Rack, a Yakima Landing Pad rack support, and DC Shoes XFB-C Snowboards.

The engine which was previously speculated to be a 2.0-litre turbo warrior making about 118kW (160hp). Indeed it is the revised 2.0-litre turbo from moreover the Impreza 2.0 GT or the WRX STI. However, energy is rumoured to be around 184kW (250hp) with a probable STI type making 227kW (308hp).

New 2010 Lexus LFA Supercar Officially Revealed (photos and video)

Lexus has officially unveiled their first supercar called LFA. A prototype of the two-seat LFA will be debut on passing now the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Only 500 units will be sold worldwide between the outset of production in December 2010 and when it tops in December 2012, and will be priced at US$375,000 (€250,720). A more hot-race model will be introduced in 2011.

The 2010 Lexus LFA is certainly powered by an easily aspirated V10 displacing 4.8 litre (4,805cc). New 2010 Toyota Mark-X Sedan Launched in Japan (details and photos)

The new redesigned Toyota Mark X has revealed in Japan. The 2010 Mark X is a mid-size sports sedan that shares the same rear-wheel drive platform with the Lexus GS and JDM Toyota Crown models.

The sport vehicle’s dimensions are honestly compact with a length of 4,16 meters and a height of 1,26 m (width and wheelbase are 1,76 and 2,57 meters, respectively) and a low midpoint of gravity. The FT-86 was formed by Toyota’s Europe Design Development and it’s objective was to alter a car with a “functional function” target theme.
