Subaru WRX STI TRAX: Snow Truck with 400HP prepared for SEMA Show (photos and video)

The 400HP Subaru Impreza WRX STI TRAX with snowfall tracks will be unveiled at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show. Based on a revive-prepped 2009 WRX STI, the TRAX was built by Vermont SportsCar for SRT USA driver Ken Block. Despite the Mattracks rubber track system, the car is near duplicate to Block’s #43 SRT USA competition STI.

Vermont SportsCar started with a carry Impreza WRX STI and then gutted the interior, “faded the shell and then quite joint-welded it for added depth,” and installed a multipoint steel spin crate. After this was determined, the troupe added RECARO SPA ProRacer competition sport seats, carbon strand door panels, and an onboard fire suppression order. Other goodies contain a Yakima FatCat 4 Snowboard Rack, a Yakima Landing Pad rack support, and DC Shoes XFB-C Snowboards.

New 2011 Subaru Coupe 216A: First Details and Speculative Renderings Appear (photos)

After collaborating of two Japanese automakers on building a new sports vehicle, Toyota unveiled the FT-86 Concept car at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, but Subaru’s interpretation is still under wraps.

The engine which was previously speculated to be a 2.0-litre turbo warrior making about 118kW (160hp). Indeed it is the revised 2.0-litre turbo from moreover the Impreza 2.0 GT or the WRX STI. However, energy is rumoured to be around 184kW (250hp) with a probable STI type making 227kW (308hp).

New Toyota FT-86 Concept Previewed ahead of Tokyo Motor Show (details and photos)

Toyota and Subaru have been collaborating on a jointly developed sport coupe model. Previously, we have seen some renderings and first information of this sports car and now, we get a preview of the FT-86 Concept, which will be debut at the 2009  Tokyo Motor Show.

The sport vehicle’s dimensions are honestly compact with a length of 4,16 meters and a height of 1,26 m (width and wheelbase are 1,76 and 2,57 meters, respectively) and a low midpoint of gravity. The FT-86 was formed by Toyota’s Europe Design Development and it’s objective was to alter a car with a “functional function” target theme.

New Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept Revealed Ahead of Tokyo Motor Show

Subaru has introduced the newest Hybrid Tourer Concept that will be debut at the upcoming 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. The concept powered by a hybrid engine that combines a 2.0-liter direct-injection turbo petrol engine and the Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system with an electric motor at each axle and a high-performance lithium battery.

Power is primarily provided by the boxer engine that is connected to a new generation Lineatronic CVT (continually variable transmission). According to Subaru, at outset-up and awfully low speeds, the 20kW / 27HP rear thrilling motor can move the vehicle on its own while during acceleration, it kicks into give an additional energy boost to the petrol engine.

Watercar Python based on Corvette Powered Amphibious Hot Rod (+video)

California-based company that produce fastest amphibious vehicle, presented the newest WaterCar’s concept called Python. It’sbased on Corvette ZR1 and powered by a Corvette V8 engines ranging from a station LS1 all the way up to GM’s hottest 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 that makes 640HP.

Weighing in at 3,800 lbs or 1,725 kg, the Python is said to be able to range top speeds in surfeit of 60mph (97km/h) on the water and 100mph (160 km/h) on land. The maker also claims that the amphibious vehicle can accelerate from nothing to 60mph (96km/h) in 4.5 seconds and hit the district mile indicator in around 12.5 seconds.

New Honda CR-Z Hybrid Sports Coupe Concept: First Official Photos Revealed

Honda will be introduce their gasoline-electric hybrid CR-Z Concept (replacement of the legendary CR-X) at next month’s Tokyo Motor Show. Only a few changes will be made to the production model that is scheduled to be launched in Japan in February 2010 and the rest of the world.

At a first glance, the so-called “CR-Z Concept 2009” doesn’t seem to be that different from the unique CR-Z concept car that was displayed at the 2007 Tokyo show. But earlier look reveals that Honda’s designers thoroughly reworked the sport coupe’s front and rear ends as well as the profile.

Renault Zero Emission Z.E. Lineup at Frankfurt 2009: Fluence, Zoe, Kango and Twizy Concepts (photos and video)

This year Renault introduced four new concept cars at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show: Fluence Z.E., Zoe Z.E., Kango Z.E. and Twizy Z.E. All of them are “zero emission” vehicles and use similar technology to the Nissan Leaf EV.

These concepts are an all-electric and can travel for 160 kilometers on a single charge. Once the battery is dried up, the battery can be charged using three different methods: a standard charge that takes between four and eight hours, a quick charge which is done in only 20 minutes or alternitavely, through the automated ‘Quickdrop’ system that removes and replaces the batteries in just three minutes. Solar paneling is also built in, to reduce the need for electricity from the grid. We will try to make a small overview of these cars.

New Audi R8 e-Tron Concept Officially Revealed: Four Electric Motors with 4,500Nm of Torque (photos + video)

The new Audi R8 e-Tron Concept has officially revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Audi’s super concept powered by four electric motors, two each at the front and rear axles driving all four wheels, that produce a combined output of 230kW or 313HP along with a maximum, yes you are not mistaken, 4,500 Nm (3,319 lb-ft) of torque!! It’s a fantastic result of engineering.

The new E-Tron accelerates from 0 – 100km/h time of 4.8 seconds, a top pace of 200km/h and a breadth of about 248km on plump lithium-ion vigor. Recharging the 213kg battery push at the back to detailed post requires six to eight hours on a common 220V conduit while a 400V close will do the job in about two and the half hours.

New Seat IBZ Tourer Concept Revealed in Frankfurt (details and photos)

Spanish automaker has revealed official details and photos of their new Seat IBZ Sport Tourer Concept in Frankfurt. Seat does confirm that the car will come to market in 2010.

New VW E-Up! Electric Concept Revealed (details and photos)

Volkswagen has revealed the new all-electric VW E-Up! Concept car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new concept is a three-door minicar powered by an 80Hp electric engine that drives the front wheels. The German automaker plans to begin production of the Up! Family in 2011.

The E-Up! concept is 3.2-meter long, 1.64 meters in width and 1.47 meters in height with a wheelbase of 2.19 meters and it’s smaller than a Fiat 500. However, VW’s designers managed to add in 3+1 seats which means the front passenger seat is positioned 50 mm onward, credit to the instruments being pushed foster up front.

New Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept Revealed (photos and video)

The all-new exclusive Bugatti 16 C Galibier Concept car has revealed at a private event in Molsheim.  The Bugatti CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen describes the Galibier is one of several concept studies with which the company is considering for the future of the marque.

The new Galibier Concept powered by a 8-litre 16-cylinder flex-fuel engine with two-stage supercharging. It could produce between 588kW (800hp) and 735kW (1,000hp), all which is channeled to all four wheels using the AWD system. Standard fuel is gasoline but ethanol can be used as an alternative. To cease it operation away from the driver is a set of effective carbon ceramic brakes.

Some time ago we published a leaked images of the new Lexus LF-Ch Concept and nowadays company has revealed official details and photos of its premium hatchback.

However, what Lexus does reveal is the notion model’s outside dimensions. With a largely strip of 4,300mm (169.3-in.), a width of 1,790mm (70.5-in.) and a height of 1,400mm (55.1-in.)with a 2,600 mm (102.4-in.) wheelbase, the LF-Ch is harshly the same mass as the Audi A3 Sportback (4,292mm in extent, 1,765mm width, 1,423mm height and 2,578mm wheelbase).
