It happened on June 1, 2009, near Airport Boulevard in Santa Rosa, California, when the owner took out his McLaren F1 after six months of storage and an onlooker alerted the owner to smoke coming from the engine bay. The fire spread quickly and consumed the carbon fiber body work and the 627HP 6.1-liter BMW V12 with horrifying efficiency. You lure over to take the looks and the next thing you know, the car is up in flames.
Reporter in the video below explained that the McLaren F1, which appeal an estimated $2 million but was allegedly insured for $3 million, was an undamaged passing.
