Every auto show has plenty of girls whose job is to look pretty next to all the new cars. The exception was not a 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Audi Sportback Concept officially revealed (details, photos and video)

Audi unveils Sportback Concept as foreshadow the production form of the A7 sports vehicle that’s expected to make its arrival in tardy 2010 or early 2011. The large, five-door sport tavern with its auto-like silhouette is somewhat better than the A6 measuring at 4.95 m long (16.24 ft), 1.93 m expansive (6.33 ft) but only 1.40 m high (4.59 ft).

Sportback’s exterior conceived is outright sexy with its low-slung, auto-like roofline and the Lamborghini Estoque-inspired buttocks – while Audi unimaginatively tries to convince us that the tail of the show car is “evidently related to the A5 Coupe.” Inside, the Sportback gets a four-seat landscape and a varied pinpoint console that stretches from the dash to the back. Passengers will be content to know that the Sportback’s crate has a capacity for 500 liters (17.66 cubic feet).

Volkswagen BlueSport Concept revealed in Detroit

Volkswagen’s Concept Blue Sports made its debut at the 2009 Detroit Show as an inquiry in combining great fuel wealth with a sporty effort and looks. The roadster actions some four metres in extent but weighs less than 1200kg. VW has put a turbo diesel engine in it and that tips the performance scales even more in its favour.

New 2010 Lexus HS250h: Dedicated Hybrid Sedan

New Subaru Legacy Concept shows its face at the Detroit Auto Show 2009

Subaru has unveiled the new Legacy Concept car at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It shows very much what the next-gen Legacy is ready to look like.

2010 Ford Taurus revealed at the Detroit Auto Show 2009

Ford officially reveals 2010 Taurus at the Detroit Auto Show 2009. The new Taurus has been completely redesigned, and Ford hopes all these changes to the outer, interior, platform and powertrain will add up to a sated-size car admirable of the Taurus name.

New 2010 Jaguar XFR: Official details and Photo

New 2010 Jaguar XF-R officially revealed at the North American International Auto Show 2009 in Detroit. The executive British cat was designed to take on cars like the Audi RS6, BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63/ CLS 63 AMG.

At the center of the new XFR we find an all new 5.0-litre AJ-V8 Gen III engine integral with a sixth-generation, Roots-class twin vortex routine (TVS) supercharger. It produces a harvest of 510HP between 6,000-6,500 rpm and 625Nm (461 lb.ft) of torque from 2,500-5,500 rpm. Comparing to it’s supercharged 4.2-litre V8 predecessor, force has enlarged by 23 percent and torque has increased by 12 percent.
