New Volkswagen Golf MkVII Leaked?!

Not much time passed since the release of the last VW Golf MkVI but we already have information on the next-generation Golf MkVII. And our information on this new hatchback, slated for a 2012 unveiling.

The recently revealed promotional video of VW L1 Concept suddenly show us a groupe of designers which work on clay styling model of the next-generation Golf. But the photo proves that work is well underway on the new Golf, suggesting a particularly condensed lifecycle for the unfilled MkVi car.

New VW E-Up! Electric Concept Revealed (details and photos)

Volkswagen has revealed the new all-electric VW E-Up! Concept car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new concept is a three-door minicar powered by an 80Hp electric engine that drives the front wheels. The German automaker plans to begin production of the Up! Family in 2011.

The E-Up! concept is 3.2-meter long, 1.64 meters in width and 1.47 meters in height with a wheelbase of 2.19 meters and it’s smaller than a Fiat 500. However, VW’s designers managed to add in 3+1 seats which means the front passenger seat is positioned 50 mm onward, credit to the instruments being pushed foster up front.

New Volkswagen Polo 3-door Officially Revealed (details and photos)

The new three-door Volkswagen Polo Mk V has been officially revealed ahead of the world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The German automaker says that the more pronounced kink in the rear opening gives the 3-door perfect a more aggressive stance than the five-door type making the new component of the Polo family show lower and wider than it truly is.

Other than that, there are no differences between the two models as the body dimensions of the three and five-door versions are matching with a span of 3,970 mm, width of 1,682 mm and height of 1,485 mm. The same applies to the interior plot and shipment capacities (280 to 952 liters).

New 2010 Volkswagen Saveiro Pickup Truck for South America (details, photos)

The first official photos of the new Volkswagen Saveiro pickup has revealed. The car has been designed and built only for the South American market and will be built in Brazil. The 2010 VW Saverio become the main rival to pickups such as the Chevrolet Montana and Fiat Strada.

The new Saveiro will be powered with a four-cylinder flex-fuel engine that will do duty and provide two different power outputs depending on its fuel source. The 1.6-litre VHT (Volkswagen High Torque) full with petrol makes 74kW (101hp) while filled with ethanol produces a slightly advanced 77kW (104hp).

New 2010 Volkswagen T5 Van Facelift Officially Revealed (photos)

Volkswagen has officially revealed fist photos and details on the new redesigned Transporter, Caravelle, Multivan and California minivans with new features. All VW‘s T5 line-up will be introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and go on sale in the middle of October.

The front ends of these vehicles have been reshaped to look like flow Polos and Golfs. The ribs on the front grille are black, the rear fog light will now act as static cornering lights. Some models facet black, high spin ribs, each highlighted with a chrome streak while the headlights have also been given a facelift.

2009 International Engine of the Year Results: VW 1.4-liter TSI Twincharger wins Award

Volkswagen‘s innovative 1.4-liter TSI Twincharger engine wins the 2009 International Engine of the Year, beating out BMW’s potent 3.0-liter instruct-injected twin-turbo six-cylinder powerplant by just four points. The Twincharged 1.4 liter TSI also won both the 1.0 to 1.4 liter engine category and the honor of the Green Engine of the Year, beating out the Japanese hybrid power rivals from Toyota and Honda’s 1.3-liter IMA fusion powertrain.

The Engie of the Year gift is handed out based on the voting fallout of 65 motor scribes polled from all around the sphere. Some 32 countries are represented in the jury, plus the U.S., Japan, China, Germany, the U.K., and Korea.

New 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI Estate Unveiled (details + photos)

Volkswagen has unleashed the new 2010 Golf VI Estate with new-styled design. The principal changed to the exterior – it’s Golf VI‘s front fascia and dashboard, also tweaked tail lamps, colour-implicit bumpers and a new 105HP 1.6-liter common rail diesel.

The tailpipes in both TDI and TSI models of Golf Wagon are now abundant evident to the naked eye instead of being secret beneath the bumper. Overall the car is innocent and can perhaps be described as elegant. Three dapper levels can be prepared, the vile Trendline, the Comfortline and the Highline. There will be no Sportline since it has been replaced by the Highline as the vary topper.

Volkswagen Scirocco R with 265HP 2.0 TSI Officially Revealed (photos)

The high-performance Volkswagen Scirocco ‘R’ has officially unveiled to the public. The R-version is powered by a reworked version of the before Golf GTI V’s 2.0 engine boasting a higher pressure turbocharger as well as other modifications such as new intercooler that allows to reach a 265hp and 350Nm or 258.2-lbs/ft of torque. The new Scirocco R is scheduled to enter European showrooms this fall. But for U.S consumers, Volkswagen has no plans to import the sports coupe in the country.

Expect to see the same direct-injection four-pot replacing the earlier Golf R32‘s 250HP 3.2-liter V6 in the still under-development, Golf R sport engrave or as it may be called, R20. Not surprisingly, the 265HP 2.0 TSI is mated to a criterion six-tempo guide gearbox and optionally, to a twin-hold DSG semi-automatic transmission.

New Volksvagen Passat Lingyu Revealed at Shanghai Auto Show

Volkswagen together with Chinese venture partner FAW has revealed the new Volkswagen Passat Lingyu. Aiming to become the new B-segment ruler in one of the world’s principal markets, the manufacturers introduced several revisions to the absolute-wheelbase Passat.

The new Passat Lingyu has a wheelbase that is actually 9.1 centimeters longer than the regular Passat, gift more rear freedom, but without making the car feel as though it is massive. Thus, the troupe says, the car is a good wealth when being chauffeured, or, when winning it out for an outing. Making it more enjoyable are the reworked engines now being used. The corrupt 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbo gets a bump in horsepower to 163, up from 150. At the same time, engineers were able to lower fuel consumption by near 10%, using 6.5 liters of fuel per 100 km.

LIVE in Geneva: Volkswagen Polo Mk V and BlueMotion Concept

Volkswagen uncovers its all-new B-segment with the new 2010 Polo Mk V and the all-new Polo BlueMotion Concept car at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

The new B-segment cars comes in three- and five-door tailgate flavors with a scope of gas and diesel engines, but the chief of the cram is the BlueMotion mode with 96 g/km of CO2 emissions. VW showed a thought for the next-gen BlueMotion mode that will launch in 2010 and expected to come to the US market in the next couple of years.

The BlueMotion notion uses an efficient 1.2L three cylinder TDI diesel, with 74 hp. Combining with 15-crawl low rolling resistance tires, a blanked off trellis, extensive rocker panels for worse drag, automated vault sojourn, and brake energy regeneration. The base lined is 71.3 mpg (US) and 87 g/km of CO2 emissions. That makes the new BlueMotion the most effective five passenger home combustion car on the street.

New 2009 Volkswagen Polo Mk V Officially Unveiled (details and photos)

The new Volkswagen Polo Mk V has been finally unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. The new Polo is now even better, improved its performance in packaging, efficiency, dynamics and styling. Production of the car starts in the summer for the UK sell, with deliveries expected to open October.

In the exterior, smooth surfaces and uncluttered lines take precedence to fortify strength while shiny front lamps and horizontal lattice facts tell a lowered bother height and wider track. Nevertheless it’s to smartly thought-out packaging that the more roomy interior owes its thanks. At 3,952 mm, the Polo Mk V is only 36 mm longer than its predecessor, with its width widening by 32 mm to 1,682 mm and the height falling by 13 mm for an enhanced stance.

First photos of the new 2009 VW Polo Revealed on Geneva Billboard Ads

This is the first photo of the new 2009 Volkswagen Polo. A poster on billboard at the exhibition house of the Geneva Motor Show shows the new VW’s 5-door car. The new Polo made it official debut this Wednesday at the Geneva Motor Show and is scheduled to start selling by June this year at an estimate of around €14,000.

From the looks of it we can see the small VW has grown up a little bit in volume. In truth the car is said to be 3.95 metres (155.5 inches) long compared to the 3.92 metres (154.3 inches) of the preceding generation. Moreover the Polo is of higher quality and speculation is that it could even surpass as a minuscule Audi. Thus competitors like the Ford Fiesta and Toyota Yaris may be left behind by the new DS3 from Citroen as far as classing the Polo goes.

New Volkswagen Mid-Size Sedan, first Teaser Sketch

Volkswagen has released the first design sketch of its forthcoming mid-size vehicle codenamed NMS. The new model is expected to be mostly sold in North America. The sketch reveals that the yet to be named tavern will be more ‘wedgy’ and squared-off than Volkswagen’s recent proposals with the front-end fabricate bringing to object the fascia of the German automaker’s newest model car, the BlueSport Roadster.

It is said that the NMS will be vaguely bigger than the flow-generation Passat with VW hopeful that it will feature “large legroom,” a “large stalk level” and many cupholders – we didn’t say that, Volkswagen did.
