Ahead debut at Paris Motor Show first photo of the all-new Renault Megane has been leaked into the Internet. Following the launch, Renault is set to follow it up with a number of different variants including a new performance model and a long-wheelbase version.
The new Megane is based on the Nissan Qashqai and it will enter the European arena against the likes of the Peugeot 308, Fiat Bravo and VW Golf VI.

Some released specs says that engine lineup from the current model is expected to carry over largely unchanged. This means that the new Megane should element a choice of petrol engines displacing between 1.6 and developing up to 225hp (168kW) in performance models. A new 1.2L TCE engine, currently powering the Clio, is also apt to make its way into an ingress-equal Megane. Diesel fans will be able to take from the modern 1.5 and 1.9 dCi turbo diesel units.
