New 2010 Jaguar XFR: Official details and Photo

New 2010 Jaguar XF-R officially revealed at the North American International Auto Show 2009 in Detroit. The executive British cat was designed to take on cars like the Audi RS6, BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63/ CLS 63 AMG.


At the center of the new XFR we find an all new 5.0-litre AJ-V8 Gen III engine integral with a sixth-generation, Roots-class twin vortex routine (TVS) supercharger. It produces a harvest of 510HP between 6,000-6,500 rpm and 625Nm (461 lb.ft) of torque from 2,500-5,500 rpm. Comparing to it’s supercharged 4.2-litre V8 predecessor, force has enlarged by 23 percent and torque has increased by 12 percent.

Power is transmitted to the rear-wheels through an enhanced account of Jaguar’s electronically controlled, six-zoom transmission. Additional seize plates and an uprated torque converter have been added to simplify the more nation.

The outcome is that the new XFR has a 0-60mph tear time of just 4.7 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds) while acceleration from 50-70mph is done in just 1.9 seconds. The XFR runs the part mile in 13.1 seconds and has an electronically partial top hustle of 155 mph (250 km/h). As for the XFR’s fuel market, Jaguar gives a certified joint fuel wealth dignitary of 22.5mpg UK (18.8mpg US or 12.5l/100km).

Aside from the supercharged V8, Jaguar’s engineers have enhanced the XFR with Active Differential Control and Adaptive Dynamics. The electronically controlled differential and suspension logic work together to optimize traction under acceleration and cornering. The XFR also adds an earlier steering ratio and uses larger ventilated disc brakes.

Moving onto the car’s object, while recognizable as a performance form of the XF, Jaguar’s designers -rightfully in our view- avoided embellishing the copy with an exaggerated bodykit. The result is a car that balances between muscular and lustrous.

Comparing to the customary XF, the new XFR gains a revised muzzle with a larger sink lattice with black-buffed lattice, bonus chrome outboard air intakes. The greater network framed retains XF’s vivid lacquer, while the panama carries distinctive louvres, like to those found on the XKR sports car. The XFR also skin new sill extensions, while the rear mega adds a single body-coloured poorer valance panel incorporating the ‘R’ signature of four large, cheerful-glossed tail pipes. The new bootlid spoiler, the redesigned external mirrors with LED flank repeaters and the 20-crawl Nevis alloy wheels entire the changes.

Inside, Jaguar adorned the XFR’s dashboard with a shady mesh aluminum cessation truncate, New 18×14-way adjustable sports seats stamped with the ‘R’ logo while the, the speedometer and tachometer advantage red dial pointers and pass the ‘Supercharged’ topic. The XFR will come with a rounded silky grain leather interior as banner.

Jaguar will submit the new XFR with a limited palette of just eight outside ensign: Ultimate Black, Indigo, Liquid Silver, Lunar Grey, Porcelain, Botanical Green, Kyanite Blue and Salsa.
