New Saab 9-3X Crossover Officially Revealed (photos and video)

The first official photos of the new Saab 9-3X crossover revealed. Based on the wagon variant of the 9-3 that Saab calls Sport Wagon, the ‘X’ shape will be untaken with either a 210HP 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine mutual with the safe’s XWD four-helm-desire usage or a 180HP 1.9-liter TTiD diesel engine with front-swing make. New 9-3X will make its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.


Under the hood, the 2.0 Turbo XWD which is available with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission can accelerate from 0–60 mph (96 km/h) in 8.2 seconds (Auto: 9.1 sec) and spread a top zoom of 143mph – 230 km/h (Auto: 137mph). The front-wheel-thrust only diesel variant performs the 0 to 60 mph tear in 8.3 sec (auto: 8.8 sec) and has a top rush of 137mph – 220 km/h (auto: 134mph).

As is the container with other vehicles of this kind, compared to the usual 9-3, the badger height has been raised by 35mm on the 2.0 Turbo XWD brand and 20mm on the FWD diesel rendering. Nevertheless that’s about all that’s mechanically different between the 9-3X and its Sport Wagon sibling, as there’s no exclusive tires or cynical suspension here.

While it’s as much of an off-highway exemplary as the regular 9-3 Sport Wagon, Saab’s designers have tried their best to make the 9-3X look the part. Protective cladding departure, the 9-3X gets new gloomy grey bumpers, slew panels with a matt aluminum buff, 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, aluminum-decorated slash door strips and roof rails with the same end

There’s no picture of the interior, but Saab claims that the 9-3X‘s lodge skin a unique lean, with darkness metallic cease to the door trims, glove box and gearbox surround boon unique sports chairs features grey fabric inserts in the black leather upholstery.
