Terrafugia ‘Flying Car’ Makes it’s Historic First Flight (+ video)

Now we can say: “a flying cars are already here!!” We Congratulate Massachusetts developers and their ultra-future roadable aircraft called Terrafugia with the first successful flight. The LIVE flight can be seen in its entirety in video bellow.

The Transition Roadable Aircraft Proof of Concept is capable of converting from a small plane into a car in about thirty seconds. As an aircraft, the two-seater should be allowed to take off and land at any regional airport. When used as such, a Sport Pilot certify is necessary. In the air, the vehicle is skillful of about 115 mph, with a snatched-only range of 450 miles. As a car, it travels up to 65 mph, and gets 30 mpg.

One engine is worn to nation the vehicle, both, as a propeller flat or a front-turn-make car. No elite fueled is worn, moreover; just the same unleaded petrol you would get at any gas post. Unfortunately, limited authorities would probably frown on a pilot landing the level at a highway haven.

Terrafugia CEO Carl Dietrich said: “The breakthrough changes the world of personal mobility. Travel now becomes a hassle-free integrated land-air experience. It’s what aviation enthusiasts have been pushy for since 1918.”

Purchase price for the first generation of the vehicle is estimated at $194,000. The idea is to give an inferior-cost blend to pilots who may want to fly wherever on a weekend excursion, and not have to rent a car. At only 80-inches wide, the vehicle would be equipped to taxi off the runway, into the parking lot, and out on the boulevard.

Refundable reservations are being accepted for Terrafugia‘s foresee, but the Transition still has a long way to go. Following more complex soaring and highway trying, a new pre-production prototype will be built.

Good video, finally the technology go to the high step. but this car is too expensive. only rich people can buy this flying car.
