New 2011 Hyundai Sonata (i40) Leaked (details and photos)

Hyundai published first official teaser sketches that preview the new 2011 Sonata. But unfortunately, the images were released only a few hours after a set of official shots leaked all over the internet thru the Korean auto forum.

The new Sonata is now likely to come with the i40 name in Europe and make its world debut on September 10th at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It goes on trade in Korea in October and will be released in the North American and European markets early in 2010.

The 2011MY Sonata will be powered by the 2.4 liter Theta II engine with GDI (direct-injection) technology probable to toss out about 200 hp. A 2.0 liter petrol/gasoline engine will also be free in the Sonata range.

For Europe and Korea there will also be a 2.2 liter ‘R’ diesel with an impressive 204 hp that meets Euro 5 emissions values. The North American souk may see lambda V6 Sonata with about 250 hp.

Transmissions available will be a 6-speed mehanical or automatic. Hyundai will also be offering a skid of premium-balanced options including a panoramic tumbler roof, hinder-shock technology and propel shifts on the steering controls.

Cars for sale

it is a great interperetation of the 4 dr coupe styling that other manufacturers have been making. I am guessing that this will come in at a very affordable price point which will give those who want this type of styling yet could not have afforded it before the option now to have it. Kudos to Hyundia for this

Please could you inform me if you have, orif I can obtain a dash to take an aftermarket sat nav for my 2010 hyundai i45 Australian. As our dash doesn’t have an option for one.

This would be your Hyundai i40 sonata, which you show in this segment, which is the same as the American dash.
