New VW E-Up! Electric Concept Revealed (details and photos)

Volkswagen has revealed the new all-electric VW E-Up! Concept car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new concept is a three-door minicar powered by an 80Hp electric engine that drives the front wheels. The German automaker plans to begin production of the Up! Family in 2011.

The E-Up! concept is 3.2-meter long, 1.64 meters in width and 1.47 meters in height with a wheelbase of 2.19 meters and it’s smaller than a Fiat 500. However, VW’s designers managed to add in 3+1 seats which means the front passenger seat is positioned 50 mm onward, credit to the instruments being pushed foster up front.

BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept LIVE at 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show (photos and video)

The new BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept was officially unveiled at a preview event to the IAA in Frankfurt. Company chair and CEO Dr. Norbert Reithofer said something very interesting regarding his circle’s chosen outlook powertrain solution.

“The car wishes to evolve through innovation,” said Reithofer . “We are the engines more effective and make the compute of vehicle technology more optimally. In addition, Hybrid is also for us a temporary solution. And especially for large metropolitan areas, a car is required for electric source. We will resume our research work which hydrogen affection.”

New Maserati GranCabrio Revealed ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show (details, photos)

The first official photos of its long-awaited Maserati convertible model revealed. The new Maserati GranCabrio will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale in early 2010.

Essentially a convertible side of the GranTurismo sedan, the new GranCabrio is the first four-seat convertible vehicle in Maserati’s history. The superb Pininfarina styling carries over, while a new print roof provides open-air enjoyment. According to Maserati, “The GranCabrio enriches all five senses in a shared open-air experience, lacking sacrificing comfort and performance.”

New 2010 Chevrolet Equinox Revealed Ahead of Detroit Auto Show (detais and video)

The all-new 2010 Chevrolet Equinox builds on the previous model with more of what segment buyers are looking for across pretty much every aspect. Better interior, better styling, better engines, better transmissions and smarter features.

You can bet GM will be trumpeting from the heavens the new Equinox’s 30 MPG highway rating when optioned with the lead insertion 2.4 liter four cylinder and pattern six velocity transmission, but we’ve seen the little SUV in the sheetmetal and we’re cheerful to say the Equinox isn’t just a fuel reduction chart. GM plans to unveil 2010 Chevy Equinox and some new products at next month’s Detroit Auto Show.

LIVE at SEMA 2008: Four Chevrolet Camaro Concepts and Accessories Revealed

GM officially present 4 Camaro concepts at the SEMA show 2008. We knew we’d see some variations of the Chevrolet Camaro on present, but the facts had us aching to see the in self. While each has their own rare pull, the LS7 Concept stood outmost.

Designed to be something of a bewilder-back to the glory being of the muscle car era when somebody in the know could toddle into their district Chevy dealer and limit the COPO box to order up a chase-bred, fire-breathing 427 V8 in the engine bay, this LS7 Concept shows what 2010 Camaro shoppers might be able to do with a great letter-prose struggle. The LS7, as its name implies, skin the GM Performance Parts LS7. Crate motor tuned to fabricate 550 horsepower gratitude to several GMPP performance accessories.

3rd Annual Car Concours “d’Elegance” in Los Angeles (photo report)

On Sunday, June 1 start exposition the 3rd Annual Los Angeles Car Concours d’Elegance, once again bringing classic cars and exotic in the shadow of the Rose Bowl. Held annually in Pasadena, California, on behalf of the League of aid to southern California, this young competition is becoming a reputation as one of the best on the circuit. It is not surprising given the fact that there are tons of championship quality machines in the field, both private collections and high-end museums such as Nethercutt and Petersen.

Nearly 300 cars were presented in 40 categories ranging from horseless cars 1990 and newer Ferraris. With thousands of spectators, we were on the spot with cameras clicking, “take some of the day for all of you who could not be there.
