Lotus Europa Gets Updates for Geneva Motorshow 2008

Two years ago, Lotus used the Geneva Motor show to launch its new “Grand Touring model and is using this year’s event to launch a refreshed. Essentially a modification Elise, the Europa aims to address the shortcomings of the Elise. The Elise is a no compromise 2 automobile driver’s seat. It comes with a little comfort in the view that the comfort generally equals mass and weight is something small Elise does not have much of. This lack of weight is a crucial design is the key to “Eliseness”, which help cars sublime performance and road-holding ability.

Thus, the Lotus Europa is the answer to those seeking something a little more upscale and feasibility. It shares much with the Elise and its close cousin, the Opel VX220. The greenhouse is instantly recognizable as derived from Elise and the engine is taken straight from the VX220. To refresh this year, Opel 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder unit has been tweaked to provide additional hp and 25 bringing the total to 225bhp SE in shape. The couple is too, 300Nm.

Renault Megane Coupe Concept (video)

This is a new version of the video Geneva launched Renault Megane Coupe concept. We brought you the major releases and article yesterday, but the video adds a little life to the great stills our guys gathered while on site at the Geneva Motorshow.

The concept is to provide some indication as to where Renault is perhaps their Mégane range in the future. The new Megane will find it hard to follow the course of car brought a huge chic dash of the euro in what was a little unexciting category.

Do not expect the road to the new version of Mégane to resemble what the futuristic display. Maybe the general shape and form will be similar but the 21-inch wheels and tires can not take the next family sedan. In saying this, Renault has made some futuristic designs to production, in the past, such as the Vel Satis, so who knows? Toyota iQ Unveiled at Geneva

The Toyota iQ, an incarnation of lateral thinking, made its debut in the world are forming in the production of this week Motor Show in Geneva. Expressing the values of intelligence, innovation and not less individuality, the iQ was born with a brief to quash the perception that “small is” basic, delivering a flexible and sophisticated space inside the city car market, and not sacrifice on urban mobility powers and the environment.

‘Quality’ rooted in its designation, the iQ is a “J-Factor” product, a term used by Toyota to describe products designed with Japanese style and uniqueness to international markets. From style to signify dynamism and robustness are fold lines and the characteristics marked. BRABUS BULLIT black arrow Debuts at Geneva autoshow (photos, details)

For the few people who thought the Mercedes C 63 AMG with 457 hp and 600 Nm of torque was not enough, Brabus has the answer. The company is the Geneva Auto Show on its C-class based Bullit Black Arrow. Driven by a Brabus V12 biturbo, produces 720 hp and 974 lb-ft of torque, the car takes 3.9 seconds to from 0-62 mph while top speed is more than 225 mph.

Other performance upgrades to the Black Arrow also a modified five-speed gearbox, rear locking differential, aerodynamic improvements, improved brakes, and an adjustable rear suspension. The car has an aluminum hood with ventilation slots and Brabus wheels with high-performance tires.

Audi Q7 Coastline Concept at Geneva autoshow

The Q7 V12 TDI Coastline Concept is designed for the majority of those who may not be able to afford the next seven steps with a view to buying a real luxury yacht.

For this small crowd of us, served Audi Q7 until the V12 TDI concept, a study in the mixture of water and oil. The vehicle is the same V12 TDI seen elsewhere in these pages, with several important distinctions visual. The wood can be seen throughout the interior is a reflection of his name from coast, while the white special overlay is intended to create a pearl effect of the polar regions.

Mercedes-Benz: Debut 5 New Models in Geneva

Mercedes has just released their plans for the next Auto Show in Geneva, where the company will begin five new models.

The Mercedes SL which was recently revealed will make its official debut at Geneva, with an updated freshened face and inside. Two new six-cylinder engines will be offered, the SL 280 produces 170kW and SL 350, which now produces 16% more power for a total of 232kW. The LS 350 also features an additional 10Nm torque, which allows for a 0-100 km time of 6.2 seconds, a full four-tenths of a second quicker than the previous model. Improving performance, but also greater fuel economy in this case, as the SL 350, SL 500, SL 600 and all consuming less than 0.4 litres of fuel per 100 km by previous models. As part of the facelift, models now feature a redesigned front end with a single horizontal bar, the addition of intelligent lighting and AIRSCARF option.

BMW + Google: World Debut for Unrestricted Internet Use at Geneva

BMW’s stand at Geneva show a special-purpose vehicle that is fully capable of the Internet. Using a BMW ConnectedDrive calls, users will be able to complete a wide range of tasks online, simply by moving their mouse around. In this case, the mouse is not the type, but BMW iDrive knob.

Surfing the web is apparently very easy. Like a machine as a laptop PC with Windows or Mac, Internet surfing involves typing in URLs to visit web addresses. This is possible. And maybe saving favorite sites, as on your computer. BMW has set up a special server to manage the expected influx of Internet use. They therefore guarantee rapid connetions using EDGE technology, which is up to four times faster than GPRS. Unless there are additional screens at the rear DVD, the Internet will stop once the vehicle exceeds 5 km / h, standard safety measure in most factories equipped TV / DVD in vehicles entertainment and information systems.
