New Porsche 918 Spyder Sports Plug-in Hybrid Concept Revealed in Geneva (photos and video)

Porsche has unveiled a striking concept car, the new 918 Spyder, at the special pre-show event in Geneva. The mid-engined sports car has introduced as the new “ecology vs. performance” issue.

The 918 Spyder “Super-Sports” concept is powered by both a 500-horsepower V8 and a pair of electric motors (one for each axle) producing an additional 218 hp or 160kW. On the ecological surface it is talented of 3.0 litres/100 kilometers (94 mpg imp / 78 mpg US) with just 70 grams of CO2 emissions per kilometer. That gives a combined power output of 528 kW (718 PS / 708 hp) resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h tear in just 3.2 seconds, top zoom of 320 km/h (198 mph), and a lap time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in excluding than 7:30 record, which is closer than the Porsche Carrera GT.

New 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Revealed with 450Hp Engine (photos + video)

Porsche has officially revealed “the most powerful 911” street legal sport car the new 911 GT3 RS. The car will be debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale in Germany in early 2010.

Mansory Chopster based on Porsche Cayenne S with 710hp (photos)

Mansory tuning group that specializes in tuning of classic roadsters and modern SUVs presented their new Porsche Cayenne S-based Chopster at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

At first glance all changes is the chopped roof, which has been lowered 60mm. A feral carbon-integrity body kit includes the cover, front and rear aprons and doors, and the Chopster has been widened by 80mm. A salient raw-carbon and red complete is set off by a yawning maw of a front air intake that hides four second headlights. 23-shuffle wheels are on hand to make universe for the ugly brakes–420 x 40 mm up front and 375 x 30 at the rear.

Official: Porsche Panamera Leaked (details and photo)

First official images of the new Porsche Panamera four-door coupe leaked in the web. The Panamera will officially start production in April next year and will make its world debut one month earlier at the Geneva Motor Show.

The sports sedan presented with 3.6-liter V6 engine with 300HP for the bottom Panamera, a 4.8-liter V8 with 405HP for the Panamera S, and a 4.8-liter twin-turbocharghed V8 putting out around 500hp for the Panamera Turbo. Power will be transferred by both guide gearboxes or Porsche’s new lookalike-clasp PDK transmission.

New 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 unveiled ahead Geneva Motor Show

Porsche released first photos of the restyled 2010 911 GT3. For the 2010 standard year, the new GT3 has been given more faculty, better treatment, and a vaguely superior foot assess. While U.S. pricing tidings is yet to be exposed, the facelifted GT3 will retail in Europe for €116,947 following its world debut at Geneva Motor Show in March.

The 2010 GT3 gets a revised rear spoiler to grow downforce at high speeds. Power has been boosted by 20hp (15kW) over the outgoing shape, with the car’s logically-aspirated downright-six engine now pumping out 435hp (325kW). Changes to the powertrain contain a larger 3.8L of displacement, as opposite to the earlier’s 3.6L, as well as an efficient VarioCam routine with adjustable exhaust valves. The end findings are a 0-100km/h dash time of 4.1 seconds and a top rapidity of 312km/h.

Next-Gen Porsche 911 [998] Carrera Cabrio (spy photos)

These is the first spy photos of the next-generation 998 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. There you can see clear differences between the 998 and the stream 911 version are a pair of more upright headlights, and the piece mirrors are now positioned at the side of the doors and not at the porthole. The body also appears to be somewhat longer, suggesting a longer wheelbase and more interior seat.

It’s still too early to shape what changes Porsche has in keep for the engine order, but assume to see the freshly revised lifeless-six range carry over with only minimal updates – possibly for emissions and country values. The new PDK dual-grasp gearbox will also relay over as will a streamer six-rush handbook, more fuel-competent fighter engines and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) among others.

Tuning: TechArt GTstreet R Porsche 911 Turbo Unveiled at Essen Motor Show

German tuner TechArt has been already presented to us tuning versions of the Porsche cars. Today at Essen Motor Show they revealed awesome TechArt GTstreet R based on Porsche 911 Turbo. The arrangements add up to something like this: a 3.6-litre twin-turbo engine boosted from the benchmark 473hp (480PS/ 353kW) to 650hp (660PS/ 485kW). That’s correct, 600 livestock plus another 50 for rotund prompt.

Torque is a truck-haulage 860Nm. Zero to 100km/h is reached in 3.4 seconds, and the big needle stops turning at 340km/h (211mph). 2010 Porsche Panamera Interior Spied (photo)

We’ve got some clearest spy shots of the 2010 Porsche Panamera‘s interior. The movies occur to have been shot from the passenger seat, and show that the four-door Porsche’s got a very familiar-looking five-pod instrument panel. It also appears to have a 911-smartness left-hand ignition key.

The highlight console is garlanded with buttons, hinting at the high equipment levels that will no doubt be available when the Panamera enters the sell against some very valuable competitors from Aston Martin, Mercedes and Maserati. New foord-door Porshe sedan called Panamera was spied at streets of San Francisco. Apart from some black tape and a bit of chrome tape to change the greenhouse lines, the vehicle in the photos appears to be a production-ready Panamera.  Despite its early 2009 launch court instantly approaching, engineers are still finetuning the car but as the shots bare the ultimate intend is almost ample.

German Porsche tuner 9ff show first images of new 2010 Porsche Panamera. Just last week, it’s Porshe officially released teaser shot of front part of the Panamera.

Early we show clearest spy photos, but the absolute Panamera object niceties are still a mystery. 9ff already working on Porsche Panamera? There are no details or pictures on the 9ff website, though there is a rendering showing a slightly abstract version of how a warmed up Zuffenhausen sedan may look.
