Seat introducing the production version of the Seat Ibiza Bocanegra at the Barcelona International Auto Salon. After it was first shown as a concept at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, the Ibiza Bocanegra got a fitting curtain call on Seat’s home grass.
For exterior, you immediately note the blacked-out portions of the front fascia, abundant, headlights, and honeycomb interlock fence. It’s the blackened front end that garnered the “Bocanegra” name. Translated as “black orifice,” the car is a bit of a praise to the Seat 1200 Sport Bocanegra. Basing on the Fiat 127, but with a superior engine, the 1200 Sport was created over a five-year epoch.
A twin powered the tailgate-electric 1.4-liter TSI engine, that can be tuned to both 150 or 180 horsepower. The business claims the engine performs well while maintaining “exceptional economical.” Once behind the veer, the driver gearshift the seven-momentum DSG gearbox with the paddle-shifters on the steering turn.
