New Ssangyong Chairman W Revealed

13 02 2008

There is a famous story based on what engineers Hyundai have a Mercedes-Benz S-Class in front of their development. The idea is for them to be continuously aware of what they are intended to achieve, or elsewhere, the level of excellence of the mark South Korea plans to present. Anyway, it seems that the idea is not something exclusive to Hyundai, which recently demonstrated Genesis, a large rear-wheel drive sedan at the Auto Show in Detroit. Ssangyong must have done the same thing for the development of new President W, but it was even more daring. Rather than just an inspiration on the S-Class, the new luxury sedan South Korean wants to fight!
The President is a W 5.11 m in length (there is a limousine option, with over 30 cm in length), 1.90 m wide and 1.50 m height of the vehicle, with a wheelbase of 2.97 Mr. She informed top more than 100 million won (about $ 105,000), which will make it more expensive South Korean cars currently produced. It will also face competition from heavyweight, such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and Audi. The President also said W is the first to carry 5-liter V8 produces in South Korea and the seven-speed automatic transmission fitted to most products of the current summit of Mercedes-Benz, the 7G-TRONIC. For those who are interested in a cheaper W President, there will also be a small engine of 3.6 litres V6.

Ssangyong may have really succeeded in putting this “work of art” in the transmission President W, but it is all she has purchased from the Automobile Stuttgart. The car of the platform is entirely new, different from that used by his predecessor, the W124, used by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class from 1985 to 1995.

In an effort to beat its competitors, the new Ssangyong present the four-wheel drive system 4-Tronic, Harmon Kardon entertainment system, ten air bags (including one for the knees), and a better design. Will it have everything it takes to beat a S-Class? It can not, but the audacity is the first step towards the accomplishment.
